Abedi Pele, 5 other Ghanaians appointed to CAF standing committees

Former skipper of the Black Stars, Abedi Ayew 'Pele' has been appointed to one of the standing committees of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

According to a statement from CAF, the three-time African Footballer of the Year will serve as a member of the Youth Africa Cups of Nations for U17, U20, and U23 committee.

Ex-Ghana FA boss Alhaji Jawula maintains his position as a member of the Inter Clubs Organising Committee with Ghana FA vice president George Afriyie who had already been announced as a member of the Organising Committee for Africa Cup of Nations completing the list.

They will join Kwesi Nyantakyi who will serve on two different committees including Executive Committee and also on the Emergency Committee. They are expected to serve two year terms.
