Ghana legend Abedi Ayew Pele says he is always happy to see his footballer sons play against each other.

Siblings, Andre and Jordan Ayew, are set for their first Premier League clash on Saturday as Aston Villa host Swansea at Villa Park in Matchday 10.

“My heart will be on both teams when my children are playing against each other and the next thing is that I pray both players score for their respective teams,” Abedi told Citi FM.

“I saw Lorient play against Marseille in Marseille and Jordan scored two and Andre scored one. I was the happiest man on earth that day.

“I always love the fact that they play against each other and when they both score, it really makes my day.”

Andre and Jordan joined Swansea and Villa respectively in the summer from Ligue 1.

While Jordan ended the year as Lorient’s top scorer with 12 goals, Andre claimed the Marc-Vivien Foe Trophy for the Best African Player in Ligue 1.

The duo are set to join the list of brothers to have faced off in the English topflight, joining the likes of Kolo and Yaya Toure, Gary and Phil Neville and Rio and Anton Ferdinand.
