AC Milan starts Sulley Muntari

AC Milan’s Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muntari has admitted that his Italian side have lot of things to improve upon despite their impressive start to the season.

The Ghana international was sharing his thoughts regarding his sides winning start to the Serie A season which has already assured fans that they will be better this team.

Muntari who took part in Milan’s Serie A season opener picked up a flashy goal in the Rossoneri’s 3-1 victory over Lazio this past Sunday.

The 30-year-old Ghanaian was at a children’s football tournament where he spoke to Milan Channel about the Rossoneri’s successful start to the season.

“The aim for the start of the season was to begin well. We still have lots of work to do. We don’t want to give anything up,” Muntari said.

“I’m not interested in goals, I want to work for the team, this shirt and my team-mates. Goals and performances will then come as a consequence.

“The important thing is that in the end we all do well and we stay united like a family, even in the difficult times.”

Muntari also addressed his new Milan teammates expressing confidence in their ability.

“He [Torres] seems a very calm guy. Bonaventura is a strong player and we have two players that we wanted, even van Ginkel. We want to welcome them like in a family. We’re doing what the coach wants, but it’s only the start and it’s not enough. We have to remain humble and focused.”
