Asante Kotoko legend Abdul Razak 'Golden Boy' has expressed his disappointments by the lack of a former player on the new Board of the club.

The Porcupine Warriors outdoor a new nine-member Board of Directors on Tuesday, with Dr. Kwame Kyei leading a group consisting of businessmen and a former sports journalist.

Abdul Razak believes there should have been a room available for an ex-player on the board because this is a football business.

“So we players just come and play for the club and finish bye-bye, the club doesn’t need you again. No, they shouldn’t do that; they should make sure an old player is in there,” he told Luv FM.

“The board I know most of them, they are big men, bankers, etc. But when it comes to football they can never beat anybody who has done it before so they [should] sit down and think about this thing,” he added.

The new Board of Directors has been tasked to improve the standing of the club domestically as well as compete for all major hours.

Dr. Kwame Kyei will be assisted by Jude Arthur, who served as a board member in 2013.

Tema-based businessman and two-time board member Alhaji Lamine have also been brought back to be part of the new team.

Former sports journalist Evelyn Nsiah Asare, who is now Director of Sports at the Sunyani Technical University is also part of the board.

Other members include Joseph Yaw Adu, Laryea Kwamina Mensah, Kwadwo Boateng Genfi.
