Disburse students loan on time

Accra, Aug. 18, GNA, Cape Coast Polytechnic branch of the Tertiary Education Students Confederation (TESCON) of New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Monday appealed to the Ministry Of Education to impress upon SNNIT and the banks to speed up the payment of students loans to prevent any unrest on the campuses.

This was contained in a statement issued and signed by Mr Awankwah K. Filson, President of the Cape Coast Polytechnic Branch TESCON. The Branch congratulated the NPP government for increasing the loan from 500,000 cedis to one million cedis, which it said had gone a long way to alleviate the sufferings of the students.

The statement also commended Ms Christine Churcher, Member of Parliament for Cape Coast and Minister of State in charge of Basic, Secondary and Girl-Child Education for her support to TESCON, which they believed would boost the party's popularity in the Cape Coast Constituency and the Central Region as a whole.
