50m Cedis Missing from Kotoko Accounts

The Kotoko IMC and the Ghana League Clubs Association-GHALCA is been hit by the news that 50million cedis the latter gave to the club during the Herbert Mensah administration is not in the club?s accounts as the sum cannot not be retrieved.

The amount was given to the club to enable them prepare for the LG Top Four competition organized GHALCA but suddenly all efforts to retrieve the amount has proved futile.

GHALCA has again issued Asante Kotoko with 50million cedis as steps are been taken to retrieve the first sum back.

Meanwhile, JOYonline investigations have revealed that the IMC are still studying the club's finances and all that it inherited from the previous management, and would be meeting them soon to deliberate on them.

The Accra representative of Kotoko, Kwame Amoa-Bosompem has admitted receiving the check but stated he handed over to the former accountant of the club, Kemoh Marah.

The former accountant vacated post with the change of management.
