50,000 ghc up for grabs for football fans during the World Cup

A new form of betting dubbed ‘Prediction Football’ has been launched in Ghana to provide football fans the opportunity to predict and win up to GH¢50,000 during the 2014 World Cup season.
With a purchase of a scratch card worth GH¢20, Ghanaians will have the chance of predicting all 64 matches to played at the World Cup and the predictor with the highest point build up wins the ultimate prize.
The second and third winners will also take home a cash prize of GH¢20,000 and GH¢10,000 respectively. An amount of GH¢1,000 is said to be won in weekly draws.
Explaining the concept, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Football Predict, Mr Frank Oye said it was time for Ghanaians to appreciate the advancement in technology.
He said after purchase of the scratch card, users can sit at the comfort of their homes, offices and wherever and log on to their website, www.predictionfootball.org to register.
He added that once registration is complete, members will have a wide range of experiences and fantastic prizes to be won customized league systems.
Mr Oye noted that the game will not be for the active only for the World Cup period but will also work for the local and European football leagues and concluded that prediction football will be competitive.
Representative of the Ghana Gaming Commission, Mr C.C. Quaye also mentioned that his outfit has given Football Predict the greenlight for their business.
