47th Accra Golf Open Toruney Tees Off Next Work

Accra, (Greater Accra Region) 14 Oct. The 47th annual Accra Open Golf championships sponsored by Multichoice Ghana Limited tees off at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra from Friday, October 24. A spokesman for Achimota Golf Club said in Accra today that the three-day competition, is open to professional and amateur golfers. Golfers are expected from Ghana, the Gambia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Benin, Togo, Cote d'Ivoire and Niger. He said the main event is the professional 54-hole medal event and the amateurs' two-day 36-hole scratch medal competition. A one-day handicap event for high handicap golfers will be organized as a side attraction, the spokesman added.
