Ghana’s journey towards ending the 37 years AFCON trophy drought at the ongoing 2019 Africa Cup of Nations starts on Tuesday with the Black Stars coming up against the Squirrels of Benin at the Ismailia Stadium.

The Black Stars look poised for a brilliant start to the campaign with Appiah likely to start an attacking-minded side against the Squirrels.

Thomas Agyepong is likely to be handed a start for Ghana in an attacking trio which may include Christian Atsu and Jordan Ayew.

Mubarak Wakaso is likely to partner Thomas Partey and Andre Ayew in midfield as Ghana look to unleash venom on the Squirrels.

Ofori’s dominance between the sticks look unshaken as he will be expected to provide a canopy at the back behind a defensive pillar of Kassim Nuhu, John Boye, Lumor Agbeyenu and Andy Yiadom.
