2018 FIFA WC Draw: Baah-Nuakoh optimistic about Morocco’s progression chances

Former Asante Kotoko management member, Kwame Baah Nuako, remains optimistic about Morocco’s progression to the round of 16 of the 2018 FIFA World Cup despite being handed a tough draw.

Morroco has being drawn into a very difficult group which includes European heavyweights Portugal and Spain, as well as Asia’s Iran.

Speaking on the Football Legends Night Show on GH ONE TV yesterday, the highly astute Sports journalist believes Morroco can cause a surprise in Group B especially with the effort of coach Harve Renard who has impressed him so far.

“Any of those three teams (Morroco, Spain, Portugal) could go through because looking at the touch of Harve Renard who I have come to respect a lot, he has shown that where he has gone he can put up a solid team and they played the qualifiers without being defeated.

“The Morocco team is not a collection of superstars but a bunch of workaholics, but I still think it will still be Portugal and Spain because of the performers of the North African’s in the World Cup,” he said on the Football Legends Night Show yesterday.
