2014 World Cup: Otoo scores for Sogndal

In-form Ghana striker Mahatma Otoo perpetuated his impressive scoring run by hitting his fourth goal in five games for Sogndal as they held Aalesund to a 2-2 stalemate in the Norwegian top-flight on Friday evening.

The 22-year-old, who was named in a four-man stand-by list by Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah, fired his side in front at the Color Line Stadion with a 38th minute finish.

The former Hearts of Oak star has maintained an impressive form in his last five games in the Norwegian Eliteserien and took his season league tally to four.

Sogndal midfielder Logi Valgardsson hit a fine cross-field drive in for Otoo who timed his run and perfectly hit the ball behind the host’s keeper to fire his side into the lead.
