13 Top Stars Join Hearts

Thirteen new players, ten from local clubs and three plying their trade with foreign clubs will don the rainbow jersey this year, information reaching us has revealed.

Two others will join the number if they fail to win contracts with foreign clubs. The players are; Defence, Odartey Lawson, (Oly) Foster Bastious (Liberty Professionals), Dan Oppong (B/A Utd) and Richard Nii Noi (Ghapoha).

Midfield: Abdul Razak (Dwarfs) and Muhammed Bello, alias Ball Sense, (Power F/C).

Forwards: Kwame Antwi Bofoakwa), Fatawu Barnes (Mamobi Youth) and George Eranio (King Faisal).

The two others doing the justify-your-inclusion exercise abroad are Issa Muhammed (Hasaacas) and Bernard Don Bortier (Ghapoha).

A source from Hearts management confirmed to Mail Sports that Owusu Afriyie alias Bayie (Majorca, Spain) and Yakubu Yusif (El Ahly) will don the rainbow jersey if negotiations go through.

Meanwhile an American Sports manufacturers Time Incorporated whose trade mark is L.Sporto (Could it be Lotto Sporto) has indicated its intention to sponsor Hearts of Oak.

The two parties met last week to finalise arrangements. Bits and pieces gathered from the club indicated that Hearts will be receiving sports kits, cash and other incentives as they play in the CAF Champions League.

In return the Phobians will take part in matches and tournaments arranged by Time Incorporated. Already Kajumulo and an Internet company is also sponsoring Hearts of Oak, in a way.
