Black Queens management chairperson Leanier Addy has revealed that each player of the side will be receiving $1,000 from the $30,000 reward handed the team by Asamoah Gyan.

The Black Stars officially presented the reward to the female national team on Tuesday at the GFA headquarters in Accra.

Gyan’s presentation was in the redemption of a pledge he made the team after winning gold at 2015 All Africa Games.

The Black Queens management committee chair Leanier Addy has revealed how the reward from the Black Stars captain will be disbursed.

“The highest component is going to the playing body so $20,000 is going to the players with each getting $1,000 each since they are 20 players,” she revealed to Happy FM.

“Then the coach will also get $1,000 with $9000 left to be shared amongst the remaining members of the technical and management committee.”

Ghana secured its first-ever gold medal in women football at 2015 All Africa Games after beating Cameroon 1-0 in the finals.
