Here Comes Leech Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh

Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh, General Manager of Newspapers of the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL), does not need any introduction to many Ghanaians especially in the NPP circles where his bread is jealously buttered every month. This man who hates the NDC to the hilt started his latest article with a quote by Albert Einstein that, “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow”.
But the NDC learnt its lessons from yesterday that unrepentant and politically blinded Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh can never be trusted and as we live today we have to be very fearful of people like Boadu-Ayeboafoh who do not see anything wrong that the NPP does, whilst also hoping for a brighter tomorrow and a better Ghana by questioning every motive of Boadu-Ayeboafoh who seems to have run out of steam.
I have nothing personal against Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh. But I have decided to police his slanted articles which are always geared to favour the NPP. This man never criticises the NPP and even in situations where he did he always made sure that he pegged his criticisms against something that the NDC did in the past.
Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh is noted for telling the whole world that President John Mahama was his roommate at the University of Ghana, Legon in Accra. Fair enough! But Boadu-Ayeboafoh had never said anything good about President Mahama or his ruling NDC government. He had said it multiple times in his weekly column about being a roommate of President Mahama and only God knows how many times more Boadu-Ayeboafoh wants to go on this needless announcements.
In his latest column Boadu-Ayeboafoh tended to support his NPP clique by questioning the electoral victory chalked by President Mahama over Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo when he stated emphatically that, “Many are those who have openly congratulated President John Dramani Mahama. As a roommate, I have not been able to do that because of the dent on the results, since I am not in a position to confirm or deny the claim by the New Patriotic Party.”
Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh who is also a trained lawyer knows very well that the due process of law simply states that every person is innocent until proven guilty in a competent court of jurisdiction. But Boadu-Ayeboafoh hurriedly jumped the gun and sided with his NPP folks by pronouncing the just-ended elections dented and stupidly added that he is not in a position to confirm or deny the claim by the NPP.
If Boadu-Ayeboafoh cannot confirm or deny the unproven charge/s by the NPP folks who continue to float new numbers every single day concerning the presidential election, why on earth will he state that the election is dented? Why will Boadu-Ayeboafoh put the cart before the horse by saying that he had not been able to congratulate President Mahama because of the dent on his victory? What was his basis for doing that if not simply to side with his NPP folks? And who even cares about a congratulatory message from Boadu-Ayeboafoh?
Leech Boadu-Ayeboafoh, who seems to have no shame, went on in his column to solicit a donation from President Mahama. Here him in his own words, “However, despite the fact that I duly informed him of the death of my father, he neither attended the funeral nor made a donation. I am waiting for his donation as we observe the first anniversary of my father’s demise next Tuesday, December 25 at Kyirikrom near Boamang in the Afigya-Kwabre District.”
God should have mercy on Boadu-Ayeboafoh! This man seems to be still cashing in on his poor dad who died a year ago. If President Mahama did not attend Boadu-Ayeboafoh’s dad’s funeral what is the big deal? After all he had never stated in his column that President Mahama is a friend except to say that he was his roommate. Therefore, if for some reason/s President Mahama who was then the Vice-President was unable to attend Boadu-Ayeboafoh dad’s funeral why does he have to remind him about it?
When you scale through what Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh wrote you can confidently state that the man was just writing something to fill his weekly column because most of the things he said did not make one sense. Please read something else that he wrote, “I wanted to draw the attention of President Mahama to certain impunities that are allowed to pass in the name of partisan politics, not that partisanship in itself is evil, but then when the membership of a political party takes precedence over law and order, which is not in the interest of good governance and democracy.” Did you hear Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh saying that partisanship in itself is not evil? He said that to cover his butt because of the fiercely partisan role he had played and continues to play in the country.
Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh cunningly listed a laundry basket of accusations against the NDC by scratching issues which happened in 2009 when the NDC took over power from the NPP. Boadu-Ayeboafoh meant to stick a dagger into the reputation of the NDC and also to let his readers know that the carnage caused by the NPP following their electoral loss in the 2012 elections is no big deal because the NDC also did certain things when they took over power from the NPP in 2009.
Otherwise, what is the beef of Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh for writing the following, “More importantly, we should not begin 2013 with party foot soldiers unilaterally and wantonly seizing state assets as if whatever belongs to the state belongs to the government and the party in power. Situations as happened in Tamale with Metro Mass Transit, Ashiaman with public places of convenience and lorry parks and Atimpoku with road toll collections in 2009 must be nibbed in the bud, never to be allowed to resurrect in 2013.”
One would be compelled to ask the motive behind this balderdash statement by Boadu-Ayeboafoh. After all the NDC is still in power so why would any foot soldier of the party go and seize a public place of convenience? Unless maybe Boadu-Ayeboafoh just like his NPP folks falsely believes that the Supreme Court will eventually crown Akufo-Addo the next president when their so-called compelling evidence is produced in court, there is absolutely no sensible reason in talking about lorry parts, toilets, Metro Mass Transit and toll collections.
Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh will do himself a whole world of good if he probably stops writing his column and concentrate on his job as general manager. Apart from being stale, Boadu-Ayeboafoh continues to make a mockery of himself because there is no balance in anything he writes. I write to promote the NDC and nobody can hold me accountable for what I write because I do not work for a state institution like the GCGL.
But Boadu-Ayeboafoh does not have that luxury. He cannot use a state resource like the Daily Graphic to promote only the NPP. That is why Boadu-Ayeboafoh needs to call it quits and become a partisan politician if he so wishes. Ghana does not need people like Boadu-Ayeboafoh because he had proven over the years through his writings that he does not bring anything good to the table. Merry Christmas, Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh!
