Akufo Addo: the ultimate provider of “Change” – proper!!!

Akufo Addo has projected a tough, mature, and presidential image. He has vaunted a high card of experience. He is a great and ambitious man, bursting with energy and ideas. He looks purposeful, serious, and poised to win the 2012 presidential election. He deserves the opportunity to prove his salt, and implement all manner of his ideas to our gradually sinking country.

His paramount vision is to incorporate the Senior High School into the Junior High School – and pay NO pesewa! Something his predecessor created; he’s bent on continuing it, and, to take it to a higher level. Over 60% of Ghanaians are illiterates.

How could a country grow without developing its human resource?

Moreover, adding value to the country’s natural resources, He is for the of diversification of the antiquated practices of exporting the raw materials out to the international, into processing it internally, thus, adding value to these materials before sending them out into the international market.

In Nana Akufo-Addo’s remark, the country is not far from turning into an “industrialized economy.” Ghana, being the first sub-Saharan African country to gain independence—surely, under the strategic leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo—it will be one more time for the African lion to rub shoulders with the Asian tigers on the international competitive market. We all agree that our continent is a sleeping lion with an unflinching potential for growth. At some point, we can expect that the saying, “Africa is too rich to be poor,” will be a slogan of the past.

Nana’s encyclopedic knowledge of international issues is unmatched. He has carved for himself a stupefying reputation, both at home and abroad. His encyclopedic knowledge of issues has prepared him for the highest seat on our soil.

It’s time for the country to shift its political gears, and, make way for a proper and a resounding change. The overwhelming responses of Nana Akufo-Addo’s “Listening Campaign,” are an obvious indication that the suffering masses cannot wait to bring him into power, in order to right the wrongs of the schmuck NDC government.

The country, undoubtedly, is losing its international image without the people in the country knowing about it. This is all because of the height of the incompetence of president Atta Mills. The Ghana, the much resourceful country that the international community used to know, before 2009, is not the same Ghana, as they know today. Even Ghanaians abroad have lost confidence in their own mother country.

Currently, the country’s mood has been moving toward a proper change, due to the tremendous disappointment of President Mills’ government. Wild promises he made to the people remain unfulfilled. A strong feeling of change is blowing across the entire country. The once expanded economy, left behind by ex-President Kufour, is now shrinking under the incompetent government of President Mills. Now, the government is broken. Loan borrowing, upon loan borrowing, has taken place; and yet, the country has achieved nothing.

Now, President Mills in alacrity has signed over GHC3.7 trillion ($250 million) for the purchase of five aircraft in expectation of future wars, and, also “fight against armed robbers,” as Baba Jamal, Deputy Minister of Information, wanted Ghanaians to believe. The people have tested the NDC government’s action with their only yardstick, and, they have realized that it’s not good for Ghana. None of their performances harmonizes with people. The minority suspects “kickbacks” in the deal. Their insatiable lust for power is only equaled by their incurable impotence in exercising it.

Was this the campaign word of the then candidate Atta Mills? “I don’t like hypocrisy – even at the international level,” said Busia. President Mills’ actions and inaction conform to Busia’s word.

Amazingly, this social democrat government is going to buy these very expensive five aircrafts. That incredibly huge sum of money is going waste, at the expense of education, health care, and job-creation efforts, etc. This is purely an assault on reason; the entire country has gone nuts with this irresponsible business! Ghana’s debts are being skyrocketed by an Economic Professor who should have known better. Here we are, the country is bleeding dry by a ‘responsible’ government. Coincidentally, in the haste of digging the debt grave, disastrous flood was consuming vulnerable fellow citizens at the Eastern Region by the Birim River. This has rendered thousands of people homeless and has destroyed farms, and properties – with five people dead. This is not an election period, so the “father-for-all” president is not much interested going there to sympathize and dutifully offer the necessary help. Has President Atta Mills forgotten that he tailored his campaign for “Change” with that of then candidate Barack Obama? Then he needs to wake to his call because President Barack Obama, in assuming office, is doing it.

Sadly, the self-acclaimed “father-for-all” president has easily forgotten the wild promises he made to the good people. Ghanaians duly performed their part of the social contract, unfortunately, after putting the then “candidate” Atta Mills in power. Atta Mills, unfortunately, has forgotten about the vulnerable people who queued to vote for him. These people wake up daily, and the government feeds them its made-up figures, by the “young competent communicators” of the presidency. The country is now wrapped up in lies, deceits, and caution; we need to transform it into a new country and marry it to its time. Now, the country is sinking into a bottomless quagmire. It’s time we stir up the people of Ghana to let the irresponsible government know that it can’t run the nation into jeopardy.

This is my six words to President Atta Mills: You break it; you own it!

We need to fight harder to restore faith and trust in our political system. Nana Akufo Addo, an enterprising person, and a big dreamer will lead the focus on expanding our current shrinking of the Ghanaian economy. The fundamental objective of his presidency is to transform the structures of the Ghanaian economy.

Ghana is part of the huge ECOWAS market of 350 million people. According to Nana Akufo Addo’s clear-cut vision, if we work hard, as a country, to make that market functional, we have a place in which we can sell our manufactured products. He sees Ghana’s light industrialized and light manufacturing activities as destined, essentially, for the ECOWAS market – prosperity for our nation. Through this, we can change the circumstance of the ordinary Ghanaian citizen.

His political experience is unlimited to Ghana.

He truly believes that the development in our country has been the benchmark by which the rest of Africa conducts itself.

As a participating leader, he’s ready to lift the country from the mud and build a modern society through quality education, and, equipping the people with the requisite skills—and the technical know-how—to run a model economy, as he further empowers the central government to motivate the people.

May God save our country – Ghana!
