NPP And Sir John Should Go Into Hibernation

"The General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie aka Sir John, has described this year’s Easter festivities as the worse ever experienced by the nation because the country did not witness the usual Good Friday rains. Speaking to Adom News, Sir John said so far as he can remember, the country receives rains from above on Easter Fridays with its attendant thunderstorm but this time round, nothing of that happened on Easter Friday and so that is a sign of God’s anger with the nation."

As a Party trying to convince the electorate that we are not like NDC and its immature Ministers, Presidential Aides and Party

apparatchiks, Sir John aka Kwadwo Owusu Afiriyie, General Secretary of New Patriotic Party (NPP), corybantic attitude on Easter sunday came as a thunderbolt that struck the Party supporters. As a Party, NPP should yield the airwaves to NDC who are carving themselves like turkeys on a Thanksgiving dinner table because of the impending congress to choose its Presidential candidate. We should allow them to

dominate the airwaves with the negative press they are getting until they choose their Presidential candidate in July, until then, we should go into hibernation.

As a seasoned Politician, Sir John should know this is not the time NPP should be dominating the news, whether positively or negatively. NDC is in the process of destroying itself by dominating the news with Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings faction and Mills faction barking at each other and revealing NDC's party secrets and corruption. When your political nemesis is getting all the negative press, there is no need to help them by coming out with such irrelevant puerile outburts. What did Sir John intend to get out of that lame accusation?

This is the time NPP should go into hibernation and collate all what NDC Mills and Konadu factions are saying about each other and use it as a campaign fodder in the general election instead of us running around like chicken with its head cut off and attracting attention to itself that is not needed. Akuffo Addo Presidential campaign team should be perusing the news everyday and a'rchiving' everything that Kofi Adams, Dela Coffie, SaCut Etego and others in the Konadu camp accuse Atta Mills government of. On the Mills faction side, we should be watching people like Ablakwa, Quashiga, Baba Jamal and others about what they say about Konadu Agyeman Rawlings and his murderer husband Rawlings.

This is the time NPP should lay low and watch the destruction going on in NDC whilst we choose our Parliamentary candidates under the news radar without bringing attention to ourselves. If we want to win the 2012 election, we should not be parading carbon copies of Ablakwa Okudzetos, Baba Jamals, Jacobs, Quashigas and others in NDC who have made the electorates regret ever voting for Mills. NPP should present itself as matured Party with intelligent people ready to provide Ghanaians with great leadership unlike the one at the Castle now.
