Who is the Criminal, Kumawu Krontihene or Kumawu Aduanahene?

To start with, I shall be obliged to define the word Criminal. A criminal is a person guilty or convicted of a crime. What then is a Crime? A crime is an action or an instance of negligence that is deemed injurious to the public welfare or morals or to the interests of the state and that is legally prohibited. Whichever of the two mentioned persons goes to prison in the near future will be the criminal among both.

Until when and for how many times will the Kumawu Krontihene be let off the hook? As it stands at the moment, he is a law unto himself. He is not accountable to anyone in Kumawuman. He has no respect for his colleague sub-chiefs who sit on the Kumawu Traditional Council with him. Transparency, probity and accountability are anathema to him. His insatiable quest for personal wealth knows no bounds. He is plundering Kumawuman at a rate unprecedented in the annals of Kumawuman. The propensity at which he is ransacking Kumawuman makes the corruption of the late Barimah Asumadu Sakyi II seem insignificant. His fraudulences supersede any known or perceived evil deeds of the late chief in whose absence he, the Krontihene, is acting as the President of the Kumawu Traditional Council.

Being the Krontihene and the Acting President of the Kumawu Traditional Council, he thinks to have unlimited powers to do what he wants, as and when he wants. For the information of my readers, the suffering Kumawuman citizens and all interested persons, Krontihene has made his own rubber stamp. This rubber stamp has been made without the approval of the Traditional Council. It is this stamp that he uses to emboss any document he issues out to those he appears to be defrauding. His attitude as it stands now is an affront to the intelligence of all well-meaning persons. By his attitude, he has taken all Kumawuman citizens for fools. Should he go unchallenged? My answer is no. What is yours, and how do we deal with him?

The only effective weapon able to subdue his fraudulent acts is to expose him. All the vices he is committing both in broad daylight and under the cover of darkness needs to be made known in public. He has been abusing his position since the death of Barimah Asumadu Sakyi II. He has been under the bad influence of Kumawuhemaa, an utterly selfish, greedy and myopic queen. No wonder he has become what he is now, a "kalabule" person beyond comprehension and his own wildest dreams. Lest I forget, he has collected GHC 7, 000 from the Fulani sojourning and grazing their cattle in the Afram Plains.

Is it a crime to lead or accompany someone to plead for forgiveness in their behalf? Does not our Akan tradition oblige us to mediate for peace and reconciliation between antagonists, complainants and offenders? What is wrong about going with someone who has wronged the other to plead for forgiveness and subsequent re-instatement to one's previous position of favour? Is it not rather more of a crime to misappropriate Community funds and lands? Is it a crime to engage in Local Government politics meant to ensure the effective development of one's locality? Should one stay away from working with their DCEs because they are chiefs and are forbidden by their traditional protocol from such community-development-related associations? This can only happen in Kumawu under the acting leadership of Nana "Tikenenkenen" Peprah Koduah IV, the Krontihene. No wonder Kumawu remains dilapidated as it is.

For the love I have for Kumawuman as a former student of Tweneboah Koduah Secondary School, I shall battle these corrupt entities that are ruining Kumawu and its satellite townships until they change for the better. I will fight their corrupt practices, selfishness, greediness, short-sightedness and whatever evil is in them wherever and whenever they are encountered. It is only the external fight of emancipation from John Fosu, the alluded Minister of Information on Kumawuman Chieftaincy Affairs that can bring Kumawuhemaa, the Krontihene and their ilk to their knees.

The Krontihene is embezzling funds and also is neck-deep in fraudulent practices as stated in my two preceding published articles. Aduanahene is accused of doing active politics by way of accompanying the dismissed DCE of Kumawu Sekyere Afram Plains, Mr. Jacob Dankwah, to Accra to plead for his re-instatement. He is also accused of participating in a court case involving some NPP members in Kumawu.

For more info, please do read my two previous articles entitled, "Is Asantehene Privy to Kumawu Krontihene's Embezzling Spree" and "Kumawu Krontihene Cries Wolf. Will Asantehene Attend?"

Stay tuned for the full publication of Kumawuhemaa's defence submission to the Judicial Committee of the Ashanti Region House of Chiefs. You will understand the roots of my anger towards her and the thieving Krontihene.

God Bless,

John Fosu
