Thievery Role Models: Ayariga’s Rampaging Tractors Crush Our Youths

*By Akadu Ntiriwa Mensema, Ph. D.

Koforidua, March 31, GNA - Mr. Mahama Ayariga, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry
has called on the youth to maintain their confidence in the NDC government and vote
for the party in Election 2012. He said President Evans Atta Mills was working hard
to fulfil his 2008 Election campaign promises by creating more opportunities to meet
the demands of the people.

I. THIEVERY ROLE MODELS
Ghanaians are truly adrift
And complain about youth
Lost in the ocean of decrepitude
Of greasy moral putrefaction
Elitist thieves are our role models
The Maama Ayarigas and all
The Honorable Tractor-Thief
One man; five tractors
Five state-tractor thief
Showered with a big-man post
The lost disoriented youths
Copy-cating the Ayarigas
Our collective morbidity
Stem from dishonorable elites
Armed robbers emulate elites
Copy-cating the Ayarigas
The thievery role models
Generations lost to thievery
Lost in the forest of probity

The youth are on rampage
Emulating educated thieves
Armed robbers wielding pens
Tractor-thief is our role model
Ayariga is rampaging the youth
With his tractor role-modeling
When the youth kill
When the youth seize toilets
When the youth give ultimatums
When the youth close down offices
It is the mirror image of our politics
Of thievery rampaging politics
Of the hopeless educated elite
Morally bankrupt
Selfishness grafted on MONEY
State MONEY
Personal wealth
The youths are only copy cats
