Rejoinder: Kumasi endorses Kufuor

The statement is a lie, …
Kufuor has done nothing for you…

The survey that was conducted by the newly-opened Angel Fm at Kumasi on Saturday June 23trd 2007 “stated “ Kumasi endorses John Agyekum Kufuor policies is false. This media communication institution is inexperienced; in the ways and means they conducted their survey. This Fm station was just established three months ago, they are just looking for publicity to market themselves.

According to the Angel Fm station at Kumasi “the majority of the public believes President Kufuor’s performance has largely contributed to the keen interest shown by many of his Ministers in the presidency to correct the wrongs in the country” The fact is the reasons why the majority of the so called Ministers wanted to run for the presidency is just one thing; they believe if John Agyekum Kufuor is able to rule the nation they also can. This signifies that this individual does not command any respect for the simple reason that many of these presidential wannabees believe they can do a better job than him. Those 211 people who endorsed Kufuor”s performance should go to his neighborhood at Ashtown in Kumasi and look at roads, and the place where he was raised. This individual is just a disgrace to the people of Kumasi. Those who participated in this survey cannot be blamed for what they are saying, I personally don’t know their educational level and how they convince a person through reasoning, or they were just being spectators. There are some people who will just support this egocentric for the fact that he is an Ashanti without using his or her common sense to analyze what he has done in their interest.

The Angel Fm stated “They cited their conclusion on the macro economic achievements as an example”. Those who emphasize governing a nation with only macro economy need the course in 100 level educations in economics to realize that there is more to it than macro economic policies. There should be amalgamation of fiscal policy, monetary policies and micro polices elements to govern a country. Since John Agyekum Kufuor administration emphasizes good government, the nation has never gained any surplus increases in Ghana’s current account system. They always claim that export has been rising but the weaker cedis could not increase the value of investments abroad to attract investors to come in and invest in our nation’s industrial sector to help the needs of our youth to secure employment. The unemployment rate is high, inflation rate is high, currently the GPD is at its lowest level, and the GNP is at its highest level due to the remittances of the Ghanaians abroad. With this entire input, still the national interest of the Bank of Ghana and other Banking institutions in the country is very high- 23% 24 %. They talk about infrastructures in the country, they should look at their own back yard; almost five years ago the Kufuor administration still could not complete the Asafo interchange in Kumasi. They should also look at Suame roundabout where people can’t drive through those areas. This has resulted in many people dying in traffic congestion as a result of being unable to drive to Okonfo Anokye hospital in time. I will dispute their assertions that Agyekum Kufuor had God’s favor. A person who had God’s favor is not egocentric, who thinks about acquiring properties for his family while destroying other facilities where common people attend to their daily business. The owner of the Angel Fm should use its common sense to tell the truth about the economic hardships John Agyekum Kufuor has inflicted on people he cares at Mamponteng. Since his NPP administration destroyed the market where the owner of Angel Fm came from, not only Mamponteng but the majority part of the country where people are suffering to make ends meet.

As the Bible says, for lack of knowledge my people perished” these people are all lost due to tribal ideologies for supporting a politician on tribal bases who has done nothing to serve their interest.
