New University College for Dawhenya

Dwahenya, a surburb of the Greater Accra is to have a University College. It will be known as the Temple International University College (TIUC)

TIUC is a collaborative venture between the Temple College, London, the educational wing of the South London Temple Church and Agape Christian Fellowship based in Los Angeles in the US.

Dr. Shadrack Ofosuware, Chief Executive of the UK based Temple College told Mr. Isaac Osei, Ghana High Commissioner to the UK during a working visit to the Mission.

Dr. Ofosuware who is the head pastor for South London Temple Church in London added that the TIUC International Faculty of Theological studies would provide a rare opportunity for Bible scholars, theologians and research specialist to explore in greater detail the foundation and fundamentals of the Christian doctrine.

He explained that TIUC which was intended to provide a high class and biblical base education in disciplines such as Architecture & Building Technology, Agriculture, Aviation Studies, Bible Theology, Business Studies and Information Technology, Media Studies as well as Primary and community Health Training.

On his part, the high Commissioner expressed delight that churches were going beyond the teaching of Christian principles for spirit development of their congregation to help complement government's effort in the development of the education sector.

"We are confident that you will do all in your power to maintain high teaching standards to produce the right calibre of personnel required to drive forward the nation's development agenda" said the high Commissioner.

Mr. Osei praised the tenacity and the vision of the Chief Executive of TIUC assured him of government's support for project.
