Accra bourse falls on big PBC loss

Accra, Jan. 30, GNA - The Accra bourse recorded significant losses in the various indices on a big loss in the share price of Produce Buying Company (PBC).

The All-Share Index, the main market index, fell by 35.8 points to 4,692.84 points in another day that saw a mere 32,400 shares changing hands.

Change of the year-to-date slumped to -1.60 per cent from -0.85 per cent.

Market capitalization was also down at 91,655.62 billion cedis from 91,750.41 billion cedis.

There were two price changes, one up and one down. PBC lost 200 cedis to close trading at 2,800 cedis while Aluworks gained 29 cedis at 5,540 cedis.
