NCOGA To Support Ghana Black Stars

The National Council of Ghanaian Associations of New York (NCOGA) has established a special account to allow Ghanaians here in the United States to donate to the Ghana Black Stars first ever World Cup appearance.

The account was created in response to a letter written to the organization by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Hon. Akwasi Osei-Adjei, asking Ghanaians in the Diaspora to support the Black Stars.

According to the Executive Secretary General of the National Council, the account will remain open for about six months, starting from November 1, 2005. All monies collected will be given to the Consul General here in New York, and all Ghanaians would be invited to witness the event. A complete list of donors will be published on the NCOGA website.

We are therefore asking any Ghanaian who donate to make sure they get a receipt. If amounts are deposited directly into the account, deposit slips and or cancelled checks or money orders must be retained for verification. Ghanaians in Sierra Leone donated $2500.00, and we believe we can do better.

Donate generously and help send the Black Stars to Germany with class.

Please forward your tax-deductible donations to the following:

The Treasurer
National Council of Ghanaian Associations
P.O. Box 2602
Church Street Station, NY 10008

Or deposit directly in the Citibank A/c #26401961.
