....... and in Barak Obama fashion says "Yes, we can Win in 2008"

The Flagbearer of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) , Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, has at different meetings in Chicago shared his vision for a free and prosperous Ghana with various groups. He attended Sunday church service at Christ’s Oasis Church, where Rev. Dr. Paintsil preached about the need for a written vision statement by the presidential candidates, in plain language. Dr. Nduom met a gathering of Ghanaians, other Africans and Americans in a town-hall style meeting where he listened to their concerns and answered their questions. He also met a group of African-Americans (including pastors) who are regular visitors to Ghana. Dr. Nduom participated in a radio call-in program at the popular airwaves of the WVON, where he talked about his vision and hope for a better Ghana for all.

He described the national executives elected at the CPP Congress in December 2007 as the best among all political parties in the country. This leadership he said has both private and public sector experiences, far reaching international contacts and strong local roots in areas of the country key to the CPP, particularly the Greater Accra, Central, Western and the three Northern Regions. Dr. Nduom noted to his audience that,the CPP has elected women to responsible positions and gave the example of the Greater Accra region , where the Chairman of the party is a young woman with unquestionable professional credentials. The CPP is the only party in Ghana whose National Organizer is a woman. The Party, he said was preparing to launch aggressive fund raising activities to ensure that it can compete on equal footing with the other political parties.

The unassuming and self achieved CPP Presidential flagbearer , Dr. Nduom, said the process of electing Parliamentary Candidates has started and promised that the CPP will deliver some strong shocks into the Ghanaian political atmosphere with the quality, attractiveness and competitive character of its parliamentary candidates. Dr. Nduom linked his chances of being elected to the highest office of Ghana with the performance of the parliamentary races in December this year. He is therefore personally working hard to find resources to support the CPP parliamentary candidates.

In summation, Dr. Nduom explained to his audience that in 1992, Ghanaians wanted change and voted for multi-party democracy and wanted to get away from military dictatorship. In 2000, Ghanaians were looking for change in their living standards, freedom of speech and a gentler leadership. So out went the NDC and in came the NPP with the “Gentle Giant” President Kufuor. Now Ghanaians are looking for change that will positively affect their individual pockets. This, the affable CPP flagbearer think the CPP can deliver and he working hard to be the leader who will make that change happen.

Many attendees noted that Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduon does not only have the qualification and other qualities needed to be the President of Ghana, but also the only candidate who can effect the needed change of direction and hope for the future of our country!
