Though music trends die away, Highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu (Daddy Lumba) has declared that he will not retire from doing music.

In an interview with Kwame B on Aben Wo Ha on Kasapa 102.3FM, Daddy Lumba reiterated that though music is dynamic, as an ageing musician you are always inspired to give off more of your best in music.

According the veteran Hi Life singer, the young musicians will benefit immensely from him since he is eagerly available to impart his talents to them.

“The more you grow, the more you are motivated to do music. I am not going to retire, but will help young and coming artistes with my God given talent in music”.

The Hi Life legend revealed that his passion for Gospel music is greater than Hi life that has compelled him to do a collaboration with the talented Gospel artiste Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong.

He explained that their new song ‘Hosanna’ was to thank God for his countless grace upon him. Moreover, the new song will be launched to commemorate his birthday.

“I was trained as Gospel singer, but Hi Life came as part of my career. The ‘Hosanna’ song was to thank God for what he had done for me in the past that is why we chose to celebrate it on my special day though I have never celebrated my birthday this one will be splendid.”

The music will be launched on Saturday, October 3 at the National Theatre.
