In the mid 90's, when the country was under the spell of the then trendy, youth and adult-inspired sounds of 'burger' highlife, he kept the fires of Afro music burning with 'Africa Market', a monster hit that kept revellers on the dance floor.

A master of the seprekora (a 21 stringed African harp) and talking drum, Afro Moses, leader of Moses O' Jah gets everyone moving with his tasty blend of West African high life, Jamaican reggae, kwassa-kwassa from Zaire plus South African jive. He deftly unites these elements to create a fresh Afro-reggae fusion with universal appeal.

Now, after a relative silence, Afro Moses who has shared the stage with some incredible artists such as Ziggy Marley, Youssou N?Dour and many more, won awards such as best song, best album, best live act, been voted twice as Ghana?s best international music ambassador in 2000 and 2002.

He was involved in the performance and composition of a music that featured on the short film ?Inja? - a nominee in the 2003 Oscar Awards. Afro Moses is back with another sizzling album and from April 13 to 17, he'll be performing it in front of over 2,000 audience that will gather at the Blues And Roots Festival.

Also on the bill are great musicians in history by names Public Enemy, Damien Jr. Marley, Femi Kuti, Silver Chair who will thrill the crowd with songs from their repertoire.
