Tinny Still Rules The Airwaves

Tinny He has showed us he has the power to upstage many international artistes who have been in the field a lot longer. Everywhere, people are talking about him. His first album has and is still receiving massive airplay. He is certainly guaranteed a top spot on the A list of 2003 achievers, with the sort of success that surpasses most expectations. To say Tinny?s performances are impressive will be an understatement. He is arguably Ghana?s prominent and prolific hiplife artiste.

If what we saw of him last year is anything to judge by, all eyes will be on him this year. Real name Nii Addo Quaynor, he has proved himself and continues to shine at his tender age putting Ghana on the world music map. People are still talking about his performance at the Obour Tour.Com featuring big names such as Obour himself, Batman, Kokovelli, Bandanna, Mad Fish, Castro, Okra and the likes.

He made a mark in the ever challenging showbiz world when he released his first album titled ?Makola Kwakwe? and warmed the hearts of fans with his unique talent. Now people out there, pay attention! Ghana?s Tinny will be making another grand entrance in the Who is Who list this year with his upcoming album which has 12 songs on the CD and 8 songs on the cassettes.

Tremendous tracks on the album include ?Atubam? featuring the sensational artiste Okra and the remarkable underground rapper by name Motia, ?Passion of the Christ?, ?Negbe Yei Eyoo?? (Where are the Girls?), ?Yei Anmo Ame? featuring Scizo, ?Ehe Hia Waa? (It is very important) featuring the godfather of hiplife Reggie Rockstone (Spacefon Legend for the year 2003), ?Kaabu Ame?, ?Mamle? featuring Adane Best, ?Nipa Gyengyan?, ?Yoomo Sumo Nuumo Sane? featuring Adane Best and the likes.

I hope you out there cannot wait to get a copy of the album. Recently, he performed at the Nescafe Talent Hunt which was organised by Nescafe and he really made the ladies and guys dance to their feet. The crowd could not resist but sing along with him. His energy and dynamism on stage hypes the frenzy on the dance floors.

Wherever he goes, he enjoys a lot of attention and gossip columnists cannot leave him alone. Currently, he is on the Execution Diary (Obrafour?s Compilation album). His song titled ?Heko Ejorko? on the Execution Diary has and is still receiving airplay. For your information, the ?Heko Ejorko? track is third (3rd) in the local charts and continues to burn its way up.

The young dude recently walked away with the New Artiste of the year 2003 award at the just ended Ghana Music Awards 2004. He was also nominated as one of the artistes who were representing Ghana during the Search for the Most Promising Artiste which was organised by Charter House. For some reasons best kept to him, he pulled out before the competition.

Tinny with his new clan, Kankpe Records Hear this: Tinny has joined forces with another sensational artiste by name Okra and other upcoming artistes like Motia, Olonka, Scizo and Black Sam to form a clan by name ?Kankpe Records?. This is not a record label but a clan of stunning artistes who know what the time is. Their motive of coming together is to record an album which will see them through and also bring the upcoming artistes into the limelight.

Is that not splendid? How can anyone forget Tinny who set the scene alight and took the industry by storm. Last year saw Tinny reaching for the stars. He continues to reign in Ghana as crowds shower him with much deserved praises for having put Ghana on the world music map. His exquisitely crafted, self-titled upcoming album is something else.
