Legon Professor Samuel Sefa-Dede, Country Director of the Hunger Project has said that training of food scientists and nutritionists should be made to meet national needs He said "there are a lot of things happening as far as nutrition and food science are concerned and we need people with the right information to analyse them for planning and implementing policies which favour the local setting". For example, he said, the problem of post harvest has been with the country for a long time and "we need people who have ideas to solve it while others have to check on the safety of food entering the country".
