Ghanaian indigenous band making exploits in Africa and beyond, "Susuma Pan-African Dance Ensemble," will this year represent Ghana at the Ohio Black Expo in the United States of America.

The event, slated to take place in Columbus, Ohio, USA, will be held from May 25 to 26, 2024.

The dance ensemble will attend the event at the invitation of the Ghana Dance Association, led by Nana Kwame Dadzie.

Ohio Black Expo is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life, success, and well-being of African-Americans in Ohio.

This initiative focuses on addressing issues of health, education, business, technology, and youth, among others.

They raise funds for programs, and scholarships are raised all year through their annual Ohio Black Expo.

The expo is made up of a riverfront culture festival and a convention.

According to them, “the overall goal of our events is to empower the 1.7 million black residents in Ohio and beyond. We target Ohio plus 4 million black residents in surrounding states to join for empowerment through our solution-driven workshops, unifying networking events, and a celebratory festival of black culture.”

Susuma to Wit Spirit is an African music, drum, and dance company formed in Accra, Ghana, by Nana Kwame Dadzie in 1991.
