PV Jantuah Dadson Boateng, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) communications team, has voiced his support for Alan Kyerematen in the 2024 elections.

He emphasized the potential benefits of backing Kyerematen's bid for change and asserted that any political victory secured by Kyerematen, a former member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), would inevitably chip away at the NPP's voter base, thereby creating an advantageous scenario for the NDC.

"A win for Alan Kyerematen in any constituency is essentially a win for the NDC. His success would directly translate into a reduction of potential votes for his former party, the NPP.

“We should seize this opportunity to strategically manoeuvre and capitalize on the division within the NPP ranks,” he said in an interview on Akoma FM on May 8, 2024.

He buttressed the NDC's goal to secure at least a 30% share of the votes in the Ashanti Region, the NPP's stronghold.

He pointed out that any success achieved by Kyerematen in garnering support from Ashanti voters would contribute to this objective, effectively splitting the NPP's vote share.

"Wherever Alan wins, it is to our advantage, even if he manages to secure a modest 3% of the votes in the Ashanti region, it is a step closer to our goal. Currently, we stand at around 28%, but with strategic alliances and support, we can surpass our target,” he added.
