LIVESTREAMED: Otumfuo’s Silver Jubilee Anniversary dinner

In commemoration of the 25th anniversary of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s ascension to the Golden Stool, a dinner party is being held to honor the current Asantehene. The event, taking place on Saturday, May 11, 2024, is located at the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Jubilee Hall at the Manhyia Palace.

Tonight's event follows a few days after a similar event was held to celebrate the 74th birthday of the Asantehene.

Dignitaries present for Otumfuo’s birthday dinner on May 6, 2024, included Ga Mantse Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, former President John Agyekum Kufuor, Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, Okyenhene Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, and former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings.

Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, was born on May 6, 1950. He ascended to the Golden Stool, becoming the 16th Asantehene, on April 26, 1999. This year marks 25 years of his reign.
