Defying odds to excel: Mrs Akufo-Addo hosts Abigail, Afronitaaa's dance partner

First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo has pledged her support for Ghanaian dance duo, Afronitaaa and partner Abigail.

She said she was supporting the duo in their bid to progress in the Britain's Got Talent show after they scaled the auditioning stage with a big performance.

The pair wowed global audiences of the popular show with their performance during the initial stage, getting four YES votes from the judges.

Mrs Akufo-Addo in a post on X, disclosed having met with Abigail and her team at her office to brief her about their participation in the contest.

"It is always heartwarming to see young girls like Abigail defying all odds to excel. Good luck to her and her partner Danita Yeboah Akosua Adomah (@Afronitaaa) in the competition," her post read in part.

On Friday 17th May 2024, Abigail Adjiri and her team visited my office to brief me on her participation in this year's Britain's Got Talent competition.

It is always heartwarming to see young girls like Abigail defying all odds to excel. Good luck to her and her partner Danita Yeboah Akosua Adomah (@Afronitaaa) in the competition.

I will be supporting from home, and I am hopeful that they will make us all proud.
