Chelsea on Sunday, May 5 2024, handed West Ham a crushing 5-0 defeat in their Premier League fixture.

The match, which took place at Stamford Bridge, saw the home team dominate from start to finish.

West Ham, featuring Ghana’s talented Mohammed Kudus, found themselves on the back foot early on as Chelsea's Cole Palmer opened the scoring in the 15th minute.

The goals continued with Conor Gallagher doubling the lead before the half-hour mark. Noni Madueke added a third, leaving West Ham reeling by halftime.

The second half offered no respite for Kudus and his teammates, as Nicolas Jackson found the net twice, sealing a resounding victory for Chelsea.

The win moves Chelsea above Manchester United into seventh place, keeping their hopes of European qualification alive.

West Ham's performance was a far cry from their aspirations, with defensive lapses and a lack of attacking threat evident throughout the match. The defeat puts additional pressure on the team as they struggle to find form in the league.

Despite the team’s poor performance, Mohammed Kudus put up an impressive personal show by completing 13 successful dribbles in the game against Chelsea, becoming the first player to achieve this feat in the English Premier League this season.

At 23 years old and in his debut season, Kudus has impressed with seven goals and five assists in 31 appearances for West Ham United. His outstanding performances have made him a key asset for the London side.
