Ghana Center Amida Brimah was in action earlier this morning for the Brooklyn Nets in the 2019 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
The 25-year-old defender played seven minutes off the bench and scored two points while grabbing an offensive rebound and blocking a shot.
Brooklyn Nets lost 92-96 to Dallas Mavericks in its debut game in this year’s edition of the preseason tournament. Turnovers played a major role in the loss as Brooklyn recorded 22 overall in the matchup.
Brimah was efficient on the night as he scored his only field goal attempted and delivered a highlight chase down the block with 1:19 minutes left to play in the third quarter.
The two time NBA Gatorade League All-Defensive Team player was called up to the Nets Summer League after impressing with Austin Spurs in the development league.
This is Brimah’s third run in the Summer League after suiting up for Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs in 2017 and 2018.
Brooklyn takes on a select side from Croatia on Sunday, July 7.
