Ghana’s Ben Bentil will later tonight make his debut in the playoffs since turning pro in 2016 after spending two years at Providence College.
The 25-year-old Small-Forward has missed out on playing in the postseason despite playing in several teams on different continents in his short professional career.
Later tonight, Bentil will line up for Peristeri GS as the Athens team takes on Ifestos in the first round of the Greece A1 Basketball League season.
Peristeri ended the regular season with 17 wins and nine losses while Ifestos ended with 13 wins and 13 losses in 26 games.
Bentil averaged 11.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game in his first regular season in Greece and will feature in his first postseason tonight.
Becoming first Ghana-born player to be drafted into the NBA, Bentil spent time with Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the NBA Gatorade League-a developmental league- before moving to China in his first year.
He rounded that season with a ten-day stint at Dallas Mavericks. In his second year, Bentil lined up for Champagne Charlons-Reims and Athletic Bilbao Basket in France and Spain respectively.
