The head coach of Hearts of Oak, Aboubakar Ouattara, has indicated that defensive and goalkeeping errors are affecting his team.
According to him, these mistakes have been like cancers, letting his team down and denying them much-needed victories in the Ghana Premier League.
"The same cancer we have... every time we are conceding goals because we are making faults in the defense and goalkeeping department. I think that is the cancer of my team," Coach Aboubakar Ouattara said in a post-match interview after Hearts of Oak lost 2-0 to Legon Cities in their last match.
After that defeat, the Phobians are now 12th on the Ghana Premier League table. With 35 points, finishing the season in the top four is now going to be a challenge.
Up next for Hearts of Oak, the team will face off with Accra Lions on Wednesday, May 1.
The game will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium.
