Our inability to convert chances is a big headache for me - Kotoko coach

Asante Kotoko's head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, voiced his frustration over the team's finishing abilities after their recent match against the reigning champions, Medeama, in the 28th week of the Ghana Premier League.

Coach Ogum pointed out that despite rigorous goal-scoring drills and apparent success in practice sessions, the team has consistently faced challenges in converting opportunities into goals this season.

The Porcupine Warriors secured an early lead with Stephen Mukwala's goal but subsequently gave away a penalty in the latter half, culminating in a 1-1 stalemate.

In a post-match interview, Ogum elaborated on his team's shortfall in offensive precision.

"We've encountered this issue all season long. We're not short on chances; it's the finishing that's problematic. What's more, we've been actively working on it. The players net plenty of goals during practice.

"However, there's a distinct difference between the pace and pressure of practice and actual matches. The players must be acutely conscious of their positioning, execute the correct technique, and decisively score," Ogum explained.
