Otumfuo's advice doing the trick for Asante Kotoko - Prosper Ogum

Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has attributed the team's improved performance to a meeting with Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, earlier this month.

The meeting was held to address key concerns following a poor run of form for the team.

Prior to the meeting, the Porcupine Warriors had endured a seven-game winless streak, suffering six defeats and managing only one draw. However, since their encounter with the Asantehene, they have shown signs of improvement, remaining unbeaten in their last two matches.

Their resurgence began with a victory against Ghana Premier League leaders, Samartex, followed by a hard-fought draw against Medeama SC in Tarkwa.

The team's head coach, Ogum, believes that their recent success can be attributed to the fruitful visit to Manhyia.

“No one in this world will meet the King and the King will talk to him, and he will disobey the King, so I think it is good we went to Manhyia to listen to some pieces of advice from the King, from the owner, from the landlord, so I think it is good and I think it is doing the trick," he said.

With their current 11th place standing in the league, Asante Kotoko aims to finish the season strong.
