Nathaniel Bassey is a Nigerian pastor and gospel artist. He is most popular for his two his singles “Onise Iyanu" and "Olowogbogboro", as well as the main brain behind the initiative, #HallelujahChallenge, where he worships God for an hour, from 12:00, am to 1:00 am which he started in June 2017.

He streams this event on his Instagram page and invites others to join him. In less than a month, the event had over 600,000 views.

He attends The Redeemed Christian Church Of God.

Nathaniel Bassey studied International relations and politics at the University of Lagos before he moved down to London to study Politics. Bassey started his musical career in the church where he joined the Rhodes Orchestra and he played the Trumpet for two years.

He was just an ordinary trumpeter until he composed a song at the visit to Stella Obasanjo, the late wife of former president Olusegun Obasanjo.

He became of the leading gospel musicians in Nigeria's Christian gathering, The Experience in 2018.

He recorded his first and debut album, Elohim in Cape Town in the year 2008.

He is married to Stella Bassey with whom he has two children.
