Ahmed Mohammed Baba Jamal is a Ghanaian politician and a member of the National Democratic Congress. He was a member of parliament for the Akwatia Constituency and the former deputy minister-designate for Local Government and Rural Development.

He was born at Akwatia in the Eastern region of Ghana on May 7, 1969. He obtained a degree in Law and MPhil in International Politics from the University of Ghana.


He was the Managing Director of Meeme Business venture in Akwatia.

Deputy general secretary of the National Democratic Congress.

He is a part of the 219 lawyers called to the bar in 2015 after waiting nine years.


Baba Jamal won the parliamentary seat for the Akwatia constituency for the first time on December 7, 2012, in the 2012 Ghanaian General Elections obtaining 50.44% of the total valid votes cast. He lost the seat to Mercy Ama Sey in the 2016 General Elections.
