He had never visited Ghana but always felt he was from there. The chief says the names; Kofi, Kudjoe, Tacky etc. still currently exist in Jamaica. In December 2001, a queen mother who lives in New York took him to Ghana and visited many historical places. A translation of words in the Patwah, i.e."Wich paat inna Gaana yuh ress? Where in Ghana do you live" or "Gih me a bakul ah Fanta meaning; Give me a bottle of Fanta". Nii Kotoku I, a singer has an album coming soon entitled; "Return of the Magzai" used with Hiplife, R&B and Reggae. He is also a Guitarist and a Producer who runs a studio; Bass & Snare Productions with other producers; Trent Graham, his cousin and partner; Ed Brown in Bronx, New York. Nii Kotoku I mentioned to this writer that he welcomes all Ghanaians to record at this family-oriented, afrocentric studio with a relaxed atmosphere. During the visit to the studio, the chief had mentioned that they are in the process of building a stage in the studio for unsigned artistes. Bass & Snare Productions currently has hip-hop artistes; Eyphlo, who is from St. Vincent/American, MC Sage aka Omar Santana, upcoming R&B artiste; Darvin Mcleod and Richard Santana, a very talented Trombone player.
