Real Madrid winger Yan Diomande’s family were in a joyous mood following his performance in the team’s 2-1 victory over Barcelona in the Spanish La Liga.
The El Clásico was an intense contest between the two sides, with both teams battling for victory until the final whistle.
A trivela cross from Diomande on the left wing found Gerard Martín, who failed to clear the ball properly, allowing Kylian Mbappé to pounce on it and score the opening goal.

After the break, Raphinha equalised with a shot that beat Andriy Lunin. However, Mbappé scored the winner in the dying minutes of the game after latching onto a pass from Eduardo Camavinga and tapping the ball into the net.
Diomande was influential throughout the game, with his dribbling skills and passing range creating problems for Barcelona’s defence.
His performance, coupled with Real Madrid’s victory, sparked wild celebrations at his family home in Côte d’Ivoire, where some of his relatives had gathered to watch the match.
The family members, both men and women, jumped and sang triumphantly, celebrating the achievement of the Ivorian player and expressing their pride in his performance.
Diomande’s debut El Clásico ended in victory, helping Real Madrid reduce the gap at the top of the La Liga table to three points.
