Ghanaian musician Mzbel has revealed that she knew the late actor and media personality Kwame Dzokoto could die soon if he did not change certain aspects of his lifestyle.
Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz on October 24, 2026, Mzbel explained that some of the actor’s lifestyle choices had raised concerns for her, particularly his eating habits.
“I saw Kwame Dzokoto’s death coming. I knew that if he did not change certain things about his lifestyle, it would not be long before he died,” she said.
According to the musician, Kwame Dzokoto’s physical appearance had raised concerns about his health.
She claimed that his stomach was bloated and felt very hard, which led her to believe that he might have been experiencing difficulties with his breathing.
“If you looked at his stomach, you could see that it was bloated and very hard. There was not enough room in his body for him to breathe properly,” she said.
Mzbel also linked her concerns to the late actor’s “Edziban” food content, in which he ate different kinds of food, sometimes combining several meals in one sitting.
She suggested that his eating habits might have contributed to the health problems.

“I think his condition might have been caused by the Edziban series he was doing. Whenever he ate, he combined different kinds of food. He would eat banku, fufu, noodles, ampesie and other meals together. Combining all these foods, in my view, could raise his stomach acid levels and make digestion difficult,” she noted.
The “16 Years” hitmaker expressed regret that she never had the opportunity to speak to Kwame Dzokoto about her concerns and advise him to detox after making such food content.
She said she wished she had been able to reach out to him before his death, as she believed he needed to make changes to his lifestyle.
Mzbel described the actor’s death as a sad loss and said his contributions to the Ghanaian entertainment industry deserved to be celebrated.
She also urged food content creators to be mindful of their health and eating habits rather than focusing solely on the views and likes they receive from eating different kinds of food in large quantities.
According to her, creators should not allow the desire to attract attention on social media to put their health at risk.
Kwame Dzokoto, a popular actor and television personality, died on October 22, 2026, after reportedly collapsing during a panel discussion on Owass Radio in Tarkwa.
