Fancy Gadam sends cryptic message to ex-wife after NPP’s Chairman Buga’s defeat

Ghanaian musician Fancy Gadam has stirred speculation with a cryptic message that has been interpreted by some online users as a jab at his former wife and her new husband Alhaji Osman Masawudu (Buga Buga). The musician’s comments come after Chairman Buga failed to secure a position in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 2026 National Executive elections held in Kumasi on October 3, 2026. In a video circulating on social media, Fancy Gadam discussed the meaning behind one of his songs, focusing on lyrics that address relationships built around financial security. While explaining the message in the song, he stated that a woman who chooses a partner primarily because of money may reconsider the relationship when the money is no longer available. “When you marry a man because of money, when the money is finished, you will run to your parents’ house,” he said. 'I don't know him' – Fancy Gadam speaks on 'Chairman Buga Buga wife-snatching' claims Fancy Gadam further suggested that his lyrics are deliberate and carry specific messages rather than being words he puts together without thought. He stressed that he understands the meaning behind the songs he records and is fully aware of the messages he communicates through music. But the timing of the comments has drawn attention due to Fancy Gadam’s past relationship with Queen Meela and her subsequent marriage to Chairman Buga Buga. Meanwhile, Chairman Buga contested the NPP’s National Executive elections on October 3, 2026, seeking to retain his position as a national vice-chairperson. He secured 890 votes but failed to finish among the three candidates elected to the position. Kojo Fosu Boadu, Henry Nana Boakye and Nana Akomea emerged as the three successful candidates for the vice-chairperson positions. @blesssamtv
