Agyenim Boateng congratulates Titus-Glover, new NPP executives after Kumasi congress

New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Organiser aspirant, Agyenim Boateng Daniel has congratulated Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover on his election as the party's National Organiser following the party's National Delegates Conference in Kumasi.
Titus-Glover secured 2,964 votes to defeat his closest contender, Ali Maiga Halidu, who polled 2,231 votes. Kwame Prempeh obtained 445 votes, while Emmanuel Korsi Bodja, Nana Kwadjo Agyei Yeboah, Agyenim Boateng and Archibald Gamor Korletey polled 145, 137, 105 and 85 votes respectively.
In a statement issued on October 4, 2026, following the conference held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Agyenim Boateng described the election as a demonstration of the NPP's internal democratic processes.
He wished Titus-Glover success in his new role, particularly in mobilising and organising the party from the polling-station level to the national level.
The former Greater Accra Regional Minister emerged winner after contesting the influential organisational position against six other candidates. His victory came after a previous unsuccessful attempt at the position.
New leadership elected
The NPP's National Delegates Conference, held on Saturday, October 3, brought together more than 7,000 delegates to elect national officers who will lead the party for the next four years and spearhead its reorganisation ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Former General Secretary John Boadu staged a political comeback by winning the National Chairman position with 2,888 votes.
He defeated former Energy Minister Boakye Kyerematen Agyarko, who obtained 2,408 votes, while former National Chairman Paul Afoko polled 790 votes. Sammy Crabbe received 41 votes.
Justin Frimpong Kodua retained the General Secretary position with 4,486 votes, recording the highest vote tally among the contested positions.
Kojo Fosu Boadu, Henry Nana Boakye, Mustapha Abdul-Hamid and Nana Akomea were elected as the four national vice chairpersons.
Other elected executives include Alfred Kojo Thompson as National Treasurer, Mavis Hawa Koomson as National Women's Organiser, Abanga Fuseini Yakubu as National Youth Organiser and Mohammed Ali Suraj as National Nasara Organiser. Dennis Edward Miracles Aboagye was elected National Communications Director unopposed.
The conference also included constitutional amendments and the election of national officers to serve a four-year term.
Call for unity
In his statement, Agyenim Boateng said the internal contests should not create lasting divisions within the party, describing the elections as a contest among members of the same political family rather than a battle between enemies.
He said the NPP must now move beyond the elections and begin the process of rebuilding, reconciliation and reorganisation.
“Today, the true winner is the New Patriotic Party,” he said, adding that “every wound must be healed and every hand brought on board.”
Agyenim Boateng further pledged his support for Titus-Glover, John Boadu and the entire National Executive Committee in efforts to strengthen the party's structures and grassroots organisation across the 16 regions.
He also reaffirmed his support for NPP flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as the party prepares for the 2028 presidential and parliamentary elections.
The statement said the party's ultimate objective should be to regain power in 2028, while ensuring that its internal structures are strengthened following the national elections.
Agyenim Boateng also commended the NPP National Officers Elections Committee, the Electoral Commission of Ghana and the security agencies for what he described as a peaceful, transparent and orderly electoral process.
He urged members to put the internal contest behind them and work together towards strengthening the party ahead of the next general election.
The newly elected executives are expected to assume responsibility for the NPP's national organisational and political activities as the party begins preparations for the 2028 elections.
