16 NPP Regional Women's Organisers thank Dr Ayew Afriye for support, warm reception

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Effiduase-Asokore and former Northern Belt Campaign Coordinator for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2024 general election, Dr Nana Ayew Afriye, has been commended for his support during and after the just-ended national delegates conference held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. The 16 NPP Regional Women’s Organisers, led by their dean, Madam Charlotte Adwoa Antwi, who doubles as the Central Regional Women’s Organiser, Nana Ama Ampomah, the former Ashanti Regional Women’s Organiser, and Madam Beatrice Owusu, the newly elected Ashanti Regional Women’s Organiser, paid a courtesy call on Dr Ayew Afriye on Sunday, October 4, 2026, to show their appreciation. The Women’s Organisers acknowledged the support of Dr Ayew Afriye, which they said contributed to the victory of John Boadu, Hawa Koomson and other candidates of their choice as new national executives. According to the dean, Dr Ayew Afriye opened his doors to them before, during and after the conference. “His love, support and reception were overwhelming, and we could not go back to our various regions without coming to show our appreciation,” she recounted amid singing and dancing. She added that the visit was also to show their respect and appreciation for his leadership, guidance and support. The Regional Women’s Organisers expressed gratitude to Dr Ayew Afriye for his continued commitment to ensuring that Dr Bawumia wins power in 2028. The engagement also served as a platform to foster unity and strengthen collaboration among the various regional wings as they chart a path forward.Source: www.ghanaweb.com
