Laryea Kingston confirms interest in Black Stars coaching job

Former Ghana international Laryea Kingston has confirmed his interest in becoming the next head coach of the Black Stars after Carlos Queiroz's departure. The Black Stars coaching position has become vacant after Queiroz resigned on October 1, 2026, following Ghana's disappointing start to the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign. The Ghana Football Association and Ministry of Sports and Recreation have since formed a five-member committee to identify and recommend a new coach. According to reports, Kingston has now made it clear that he would welcome the opportunity to take charge of the senior national team.
