Player Interference, Hotel Concerns and More: Details emerge on why Carlos Queiroz quit Black Stars

More details have emerged following the departure of Carlos Queiroz as head coach of the Black Stars, with several issues reportedly contributing to his decision to resign.
According to details emerging after his resignation, Queiroz submitted his resignation letter on Wednesday morning before meeting the Ghana Football Association for a debrief later in the evening.
During the meeting, the Portuguese coach reportedly outlined several reasons why he could not continue in the role, which aligns with his statement that he could not stay because the “right conditions were not well established.”
One of his concerns was the team's training arrangements. Queiroz was reportedly surprised to learn that the Black Stars were training every day at the same stadium where they were due to play, rather than using a separate training facility.

His late arrival in Ghana was another issue. Queiroz reportedly prefers to arrive at least 10 days before the team assembles to prepare properly, but only arrived two days before the squad gathered, with his ticket reportedly arriving late.
Accommodation also became a concern. The former Portugal and Iran coach reportedly wanted the team to stay at the Kempinski Hotel, but the Black Stars were housed at the African Regent.
Queiroz also reportedly raised concerns about interference in team selection, telling close associates that there were players in camp he did not know about. His call for team selection to be conducted with “honesty” in his statement has since attracted attention in that regard.
The coach also wanted greater control over the backroom staff, including bringing in his own doctor, nutritionist and team manager.
He was reportedly only allowed to bring his own nutritionist, with the other positions remaining outside his full control.
These issues are now emerging as key details surrounding Queiroz's decision to end his short-lived second spell with the Black Stars.
