Saddick Adams explains why he rejected a lucrative offer from GFA

Renowned sports journalist Saddick Adams has disclosed that he declined an offer from the Kurt Okraku-led Ghana Football Association (GFA).
According to him, when the current GFA administration took office, he was contacted to take up a position and help with the rebuilding of Ghana football following investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ exposé.

The Angel FM journalist indicated that it was a lucrative offer that would have significantly increased his financial earnings and given him opportunities to travel for various tournaments.
“The current GFA administration, when they came into office, they wanted to work with me, and the position they wanted to give me, I would be well-to-do by now. I believe in my competence that if I had gone, I wouldn’t have embarrassed myself. I would have been to the World Cup and AFCON several times. The position was very lucrative,” he said in Twi while speaking on Angel FM.
However, Saddick went on to disclose that he did not accept the offer because he had no intention of working with the GFA at the time and wanted to focus on his career.
He added that his focus remains on speaking truth to power to ensure football develops to its maximum potential without any inducement.
“I felt that, at the time, I would not have been able to work; I am not a greedy person. I have not made it big time, but no football person would call to give me something to stop speaking the truth and appreciate what I have,” he stated.
