Nigerian content creator, movie producer and actress Papaya Ex has broken down in tears after her YouTube manager allegedly deleted her movie, The Spotlight, which had garnered 2.7 million views and over 10,000 comments.
In a video shared on social media on September 13, 2026, the visibly distraught actress expressed pain over the alleged deletion, stating that the movie represented a lot of hard work and sacrifice.
“My Spotlight movie, which had 2.7 million views and 10,000 comments, has been deleted. My YouTube manager has deleted my Spotlight movie. All my hard work is wasted. I can’t forgive him this time. I’m sorry, I don’t know what to do. I’m going crazy,” she said.
According to Papaya Ex, she had invested a lot into the project, including fasting and praying for 30 days before its release.
She stated that she was still fasting and praying over another project, stressing that she takes her spiritual life seriously.
“Nobody should tell me that I should pray because I pray, and you guys know that. I’m literally still fasting. When I released this movie, I fasted for 30 good days, and I’m still fasting about my new project. I don’t play about my prayers and fasting,” she stated.

Papaya Ex further alleged that this was the second time her YouTube manager had deleted one of her movies.
She recalled that he previously deleted Night Market when she had allegedly asked him to make the movie private.
“I don’t know what to do now. I just want to disappear. You guys don’t get it. I don’t want to talk to anybody. I’m pained. This guy has ruined me.
“This is the second time he’s doing this. He first deleted Night Market when I asked him to make it private. This was deliberate because there are other videos on the channel before Spotlight,” she shared.
She questioned how the deletion of Spotlight could have been a mistake, claiming that there were several other videos, including movies, trailers and teasers, on the channel before the film.
The actress, who appeared overwhelmed by the incident, accused her YouTube manager of deliberately deleting the movie and expressed frustration over what she described as a repeated incident.
“Before you can delete the Spotlight movie, you have to see other movies, trailers and teasers of the movies before getting to Spotlight. If it was a mistake, he could have deleted any of those, but he chose to jump straight to the Spotlight movie,” she added.
