Dear GhanaWeb: I cheated on my husband after he abandoned me with our special-needs children

Dear GhanaWeb, I never planned to cheat on my husband. In fact, when I got married, I never imagined I would ever become the kind of woman who would have an affair. We have three beautiful children together, and two of them have autism and ADHD. Raising them has been one of the most challenging experiences of my life because they require constant attention, care and medical support. Unfortunately, my husband could not accept the reality of our situation. He struggled to accept that we had two children who needed special care, and instead of supporting me, he became increasingly distant and abusive. He insulted me verbally and physically abused me. The children were practically left in my care. I had to do everything myself. Feeding them, taking care of their needs, attending to their medical issues and making sure they were okay. We couldn't even afford to get a nanny, so there was hardly any time for me to rest. My husband would leave the house for days. Sometimes, he barely spoke to the children. I fSource: www.ghanaweb.com
